NIMASA sacks three for irregular employment

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency has disengaged three persons found to have been illegally employed.
A statement by the Head, Public
Relations, NIMASA, Hajia Lami Tumaka, said that there were
irregularities associated with the engagement of the affected persons.
The statement read, “An administrative
investigation conducted by the agency revealed that the employment of
the three officers at the twilight of the administration of Dr. Ziakede
Akpobolokemi as director-general did not follow due process required for
 employment into the civil service.
“Contrary to speculations that NIMASA
has disengaged 200 of its employees, only these three persons, whose
engagement had wholesome irregularities, have been asked to leave.”
